TESL MARKED THE DAY FOR ASTOUNDING VOLUNTEER EFFORTS IN SK MENGABANG TELIPOT

It was a blissful day for the students of SK Mengabang Telipot, graced by the visit from the Faculty of Languages and Communication (FBK) with several TESL volunteers. This programme is one of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts done to help expose the students of SK Mengabang Telipot on English Language.

​

Led by Dr. Hanita and Ms. Zurina, the programme was coordinated over the course of four sessions starting from September until November. Ten (10) Tesl 1 and ten (10) Tesl 5 volunteers showcased good teamwork in facilitating the teaching and learning session for the students.

​

“It was a very good day, challenging as it may be for us soon-to-be teachers. We learned and understood language barriers and applying real life methodology.” Mohd. Ridhwan bin Mohd Rashid, Tesl 4 volunteer expressed his thoughts on the programme.

“TESL should have more programmes like this in the future, it trains us to be better and more prepared teachers. We received early exposure on classroom management and enhanced our soft skills. I’m very thankful for my lecturers in guiding us throughout the day”. – Mohd. RIdhwan (TESL 4)
